My Story
My name is Charlotte Fegely and I am the founder of Bloom Tutoring. The mission at Bloom Tutoring is to create a safe and nurturing space for students to grow, learn and thrive. With individualized tutoring, I provide students with the necessary support to improve their performance and confidence in the classroom. My experience in special education has taught me that every student has their own unique way of learning and retaining information, which is why I specialize in multiple teaching strategies to find the approach that resonates best with each student.
Experience
I have undergone extensive training in various teaching methods to help students with learning differences. I have accumulated over 500 hours of training in the Orton-Gillingham Approach, a multisensory, language-based program proven effective for struggling readers and writers. I have also been trained in Marilyn Zecher's MultiSensory Math, which is designed to visually represent mathematical concepts to make them easier to understand. Lastly, I incorporate the Framing Your Thoughts writing curricula which has a unique approach to language composition that builds critical foundations most noteworthy for writing success.
I understand that academic success is more than just good grades - it requires a combination of effective strategies and emotional support. That's why I am trained in executive functioning strategies and have experience working with students with emotional disabilities. I provide individualized support to help each student reach their full potential. Whether your child needs help with homework, subject matter, or developing study skills, I have the expertise to make a difference.
